Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, this is so Flore. Welcome back, party people, to another fun filled edition of so Flore.

Speaker 1:

I'm not going to waste any time today because this episode was so good. I am new to this, not saying anything, that is, I feel like I'm probably in the novice genre as far as vintage soap operas go, but this one is good. I was not expecting such hard, hitting topics so quickly, and I wasn't expecting them to be written so well. The show was on point Okay. Season one, episode four.

Speaker 1:

This episode is called the Lie. So far we've learned a few things. Knots Landing is a town. All the people on our show are living within this cul-de-sac. We got about four families. They are tight knit but everybody is dealing with their own ish within the four walls of their home. Some of them handle it better than others. Sometimes it's public, sometimes it's not. I do not think the neighborhood at large knows about Karen's stepdaughter. The neighborhood at large does not know that Karen has kissed her daughter's teacher not once, but twice under a moonlight.

Speaker 1:

Oh, it was so good. That episode was one of my favorites. I really that's my girl. I love me some, karen. The neighborhood does know that the Ewing's have moved from Texas to California and they don't seem to be interested in oil. No one is really pushing it.

Speaker 1:

Everyone knows that Richard Avery is a little bit of a hard pill to swallow, but his wife Laura is pleasant by all intents and purposes. This episode, to my delight, finally dives into the Richard Avery and Laura Avery dynamic. I've been wondering since episode two what's really going on there. Remember that's when JR made his appearance. Oh my God, he was so good in that one. He was so good. I loved everything about that episode.

Speaker 1:

But that episode opened a door in my mind to like okay, what's really going on? It seems like Laura has some sort of a past that hasn't fully been worked out. It seems like it comes up from time to time and Richard E seems supportive in one breath, and then, the more I thought about it, it's like you made sure she was in a weird situation. Richard seems to be focused on bettering himself, climbing that corporate ladder, climbing that social ladder, and he's willing to use Laura as a prop. Now, laura kind of she's not a wet rag, she's not. She's just not really saying a lot, she's not doing a lot. But the women folk of the community ie, valine oh my gosh Val and Karen you can tell that they care way more about Laura than they do about Richard. This episode is no different. Come on in, grab something bubbley y'all, because this gets scandalous immediately.

Speaker 1:

Season one, episode four not slanting the lie, god, I'm reminded of something my dad told me when I was very, very young. Now, of course, parents have the responsibility of forming you into a wonderful, fully functioning person who can contribute to society without being swallowed down by it. My dad was no different, and one of the things he said was you know, you shouldn't lie. Lying morally is one thing or another, but on a more practical level, when you lie the people, you lie to think you're telling the truth. So they're going to remember it, and if you come back with a different story, then you're exposed as a liar. Now, I don't think he was encouraging that, but I think his point was that when you are kind of careless with your words, it has the ability to come back and bite you in the butt. This episode is a prime example of it. Only I don't think the lie was ever going to be intentional.

Speaker 1:

There are several lies going on here, so let's set the scene Now. It's landing. Being a quiet, sleepy Beachside town, they're probably not used to a lot of crime. I still haven't been able to tell how large this city is and Like what sort. It seems like it would be close to LA, but they're not coming outright to say that. I only assume these things because I mean there's an office, there's an oil fuel office there, which means there's probably at least a hundred thousand people in the town, the the men seem to travel for work. One of the guys is like a music producer. I can't imagine you'd be doing that in some sleepy, no-name town in the late 70s, so I would assume it is probably a suburb of LA or San Diego or something like that.

Speaker 1:

At this point in time during the show there is a rapist at large. That's right. There is a man who has been floating through a community. There are three to four women already at the point of the beginning of this episode. Now each family is dealing with this a little bit differently. We get a peek at ginger and his name escapes me the music producer guy who was hooking up with Sid and Karen's daughter, the 18 19 year old. She doesn't come right out and say she's just like. I don't really. I really want you home early. Like it's scary, things are going down and we know that there's a rapist because there is a newspaper. All the families read the newspaper first thing in the morning, like you used to back in the day, and splashed across that headline is that there is a rapist and and not landing. So ginger tells producer husband I really wish he would come home early he's like oh baby, you know I can't. I got something going on that me immediately thinking this episode was gonna be about him. This is the lie. Clearly he's hooking up with one of his new little starlets, not the case.

Speaker 1:

We then move over to Sid and Karen. We see her thoughts on it like God, this is stupid, scary. I really hate this happening in our community. And then we move over to Val, val and Gary. I have to say that, as, as someone who's already watched three seasons of Dallas, is refreshing to see how quickly Val has acclimated to this neighborhood. She and Gary and a granite.

Speaker 1:

We didn't see Gary at all last episode. He seems to be very busy with work, which is a good thing. I'm sure they're still trying to figure out how his character's gonna fit Into the show, but Val being a woman who's had to basically look over her shoulder for the last 18 years, it's refreshing to see her settle into this sleepy little beach village and be embraced so quickly by her neighbors. Her days are full. But the question that she's reading the paper or actually Gary's reading the paper where it tells about the rapist and she is expressing her concern because she's, like you know the only people here during the week or during the day is myself and Laura. She's the only other stay-at-home wife who doesn't have something else to do. It seems like ginger, the producer's wife, might be a student full disclosure. I didn't even recognize her when she came on screen, only recognized when her husband came out. I was like, okay, so maybe they have something going on. Seems like she goes to school or something. She seems a little bit younger than them. And then, of course, my girl, karen, is Active in the community, so she's got a campaign to work on. She has an office, but she's told the other ladies hey, if you get bored during the day, please come down. We can use all hands on deck. If you want a job, if you just want to hang out, come on down. So Gary and Val Gary is taking this very seriously like I really don't want you at home by yourself. I want you and Laura to hang out together as much as possible.

Speaker 1:

A rapist at large is terrifying. It's terrifying for a woman because you are extra vulnerable, especially when you're home by yourself. You gotta remember this is 1979, very early 1980. There are no security systems. No one has an alarm. The alarm is the old lady across the street who has thank God she didn't have anything else pressing during the day she can watch at home. It's beginning to be a problem. All the women folk are scared, all the men are concerned, except Richard Avery. So we get to peek inside their house and, surprise, surprise is morning. So his wife, laura, is making breakfast. Now she's making eggs. She asked Richard, how do you want your eggs? His response three.

Speaker 1:

She seems totally in phase by this. I'm watching this as a viewer thing. I know she's just used to him being kind of whatever. He didn't really hear what she said. So he's reading the paper and he goes. I can't believe this. This is terrible. She thinks he's talking about the rapist. No, he's talking about some no-name company that suddenly their stock went up and, unfortunately for him, he just sold that stock last week, so it affects their finances a little bit. She's like oh, honey, you're talking about the rapist. He's like no, and then he explains the situation. She seems Unbothered, me thinking okay, she just knows her husband's a little bit out there, she's not gonna worry about it.

Speaker 1:

Two and a half second later, literally, literally, after she asked him that, he's like where are my eggs oh, I'm sorry I'm working on. So she whips them up and he goes. I wanted him over easy. Mind you homeboy gave no indication of that. I don't know how she's supposed to know that. Maybe he was in that way every day. It doesn't really matter. He's annoyed. He gets up and he's like where's my shirt? She goes in the wash. Okay, laura, that's a handmade shirt. You can't put it in the washing machine. You can tell there's a little tension, but as I'm personally married, that's a nothing conversation. I promise you I wouldn't remember that conversation 20 minutes later. But I want to call her Karen. So bad.

Speaker 1:

Laura is giddy to me. I'm looking at this and I'm like what is she so happy about? She's happy because, despite her husband's oblivion to her existence, she goes to a bar midday where it is nothing but dues. And she is that chick. Matter of fact, on this day, on this day y'all, she went upstairs and she put that ish on. She put on a red flowy dress. She got to smelling good. She did her hair off feathery because it's late 70s, early 80s. She needs to look good. She's that chick.

Speaker 1:

And she goes sauntering out to her car and she's trying to mind her business. Only this Texas tornado named Val comes up and she's like hey, are you still on for lunch? Oh crap, laura has completely forgotten about this, right, because she has a date with nobody in particular, but she needs to be the it girl at this bar. She's like oh no, babe, I'm so sorry, I have a dentist appointment. I can't really make it. Well, val isn't taking the hints because they're not over. They're very, very subtle at this point, which is lie number one. So Val goes okay, well, okay, I'm not gonna have lunch with you. Would you mind dropping me off at Karen's community center? I think I'll help her out with the campaign today. Now, laura doesn't want to. She doesn't want to, I don't. I think she had planned on slipping out of the house, unknown, but Val just happened to be waiting for her. She completely Karen and Laura, that is. I really forgot about that lunch date. She's like okay, girl, yeah, I'll take you down there.

Speaker 1:

Laura drops off Val at the community center and then makes her way to the bar, where V-Lie gets just a little bit. So once she saunters into this bar, you gotta think to yourself if there was a lunch date. This is probably between the hours of 11 am 1 30 pm. She saunters in and all eyes are on her because it's a bar full of straight men. They're like whoa, who's this lady in red? Why do? I think that's for a special cake commercial? I think that might be right.

Speaker 1:

Anyway, she goes into the bar and this kid who's in the corner he's very cute, looks like he could be. He's not in the BGs, but he could be like the BGs nephew, their sister's kid, the GGs. Before I go in on CG, I have to say I am always on crystal, on dynasty, for wearing her cream. But I guess it was in both late 70s, early 80s, because homeboy saunters and I do mean saunters over with his low cut. He's got a beard. He's cute, there's no denying he's a hottie, I'm not gonna fron. But he comes over in his white pants again. I'm like men in white pants. I just don't see it very often. So I'm like this is well long before Miami Vice.

Speaker 1:

I don't know what to make of it, but let's focus on the task at hand. He comes sauntering over to the bar and he's like you know what? I've been waiting on you since last Tuesday. She's playing coy but she clearly enjoys the attention. He slaps on the counter a photograph not a photograph, a drawing, a rendering, if you will of her likeness, and it is actually very beautiful. Her lips do look a little swollen like someone punched her in the face, but that's that is to be done with a with like a charcoal painting. And he explains he is a painter and he would love it if she would pose for yet another session.

Speaker 1:

And she's like oh my God, yes, so midday this woman follows this man to his apartment and he is an artist. So it's exactly what you would think. An artist is an artist. An artist's apartment would look like. There's portraits everywhere there's. There's clearly other women he's drawn and painted and none of them seem to be nude. So things seem to be okay. But the the right, let the record show.

Speaker 1:

She follows him up the stairs and gone and went to his apartment. He don't want to paint her, he wants to see her in the noon. He wants to do the. Do you know what it is? They're grown. That's a grown man, that's a grown woman. So after he gives her a tour of this you know, slightly larger than normal bedroom turned into an apartment, he's like okay, why don't you, why don't you relax, why don't you fluff your hair Blah, blah, blah, before you know what. He wants to get her down on the bed and she's at, she's uncomfortable at this point. But she has not learned the art of saying no, no, no. She says no once and he's like why did you come up here? Why are you here, actually?

Speaker 1:

Let me not, let me not play this down, because she does try to run out of the apartment and she has the standard issue vintage, modern, so proper, prime time or daytime soap opera. They always have a clutch. They never have a bag bags or bulky. It's always something you can hold in one hand. Her clutch is up like on a shelf. He, he juke's her out and he gets in front of the door so she can't leave. She's like crap. And she Agrees, she verbally says yes, she gives a consent, although she doesn't want to really do it, mind you, when homeboy wanted to undress her.

Speaker 1:

Let me paint the picture a little bit. She's in a silk, ish Silk or satin kind of flowy dress. This is very standard. It's got the basic sleeves. It's not even a wrap dress, it's kind of flowy. It's just really like a beautiful color. She does look absolutely gorgeous in it and it's belted. Well, he rips the belt and he rips the sleeve. For some reason, I don't know why you would rip a sleeve, because not like it's gonna show that much skin, but that's what he goes for, instead of like the chest or something you know.

Speaker 1:

So after the do, after the deed is done, she just, you can just see where she gives up hope, not like Kirby, because Kirby fought for a minute. She didn't fight very hard, she fought for a couple seconds and she was like okay, fine, we'll do this. So they do the do. And Then she gets in her car and she heads home and once again Texts tornado, valve, valve, almost called a valvelling, forget it. Valve lean is in the yard. Valvelling has been dropped off by Karen. But Karen invites Val in only her daughter. This was so upsetting.

Speaker 1:

Her daughter, karen's daughter, hitchhike home from school, for whatever reason. Now, they don't know this right at first. When, when they see the baby get out of the car, she comes up and she's like hey, val, hey mom, karen goes, hey, who's your new friend? Oh, I don't know, I hitchhike. So of course Karen gets furious because what are you doing? There's a whole rapist running around. Why would you hitchhike when you can just like ride the bus or call a friend. What are you doing? The little girl gets all in her sassy 1979 feelings, goes off, gets grounded, goes into the house. So now, like Karen's, like I'm sorry girl, I can't have company.

Speaker 1:

Val goes home to water the yard. Now she's watering yard. She sees Laura pull up to her house. She sees Laura is in disarray when she jumps out of the car. Laura runs in the house and not even like. 15 seconds later here comes Richard. So Val's watching this and she's about to. She's like Richard. She wants to tell him like hey, I thought you know, I don't know what's going on. She's upset. But she doesn't get that out of her mouth because when Richard jumps out of the car he's like hey, val, maybe you can teach my wife how to park. So she minds our business. Val, she just keeps watering the Rose. I don't know what she's watering. I don't know Flora and Fana that well, couldn't tell you she's watering something. Things are fine. I guess Inside the house Laura has got made her way through the mirror, but she's still very, very shaken up from the afternoon's events.

Speaker 1:

Richard finds her and she's not speaking, but it's very clear she's got bruises all over her body, her clothes are ripped. He's like oh my god, honey, what happened? And she can't say it. She can't say the word, which makes me believe that there's probably a little bit of her past Coming to rear its ugly head again. Don't forgive me, we just got a dog and my family just don't know how to chill, why record? So she doesn't say anything. He puts two and two together he figures out that she'd been raped and which is a lie, and the truth at the same time. I'm not trying to be ugly, I'm not trying to. You know I'm not. I don't believe in and there's new ones as to everything.

Speaker 1:

Yes, she did consent and we get into that a little bit later but she really didn't want to and she allowed. She allowed Richard to believe that because there's a rapist at large, she'd been raped. So this is how the story goes. For the rest of the episode, the way she tells it to Richard is that she had gotten home about 30 minutes ago. She didn't realize for about 15 minutes that someone was in the house. The rapist came, he did what he needed to do or he raped her, quote-unquote and then he left and Richard missed him by about 15 minutes. So let's say it was there, he was. The rapist was there as soon as she got in. It happened 15 minutes later.

Speaker 1:

Richard shows up. Now we know this because the other women gather and this is kind of a thing I like. They seem to be very comfortable. Val has acclimated completely. They're. They're the type of neighbors who don't knock. They just kind of open the door and announce themselves, which is fine if it's someone you trust. The ginger and Val are chilling in the living room. Karen hears about it, she comes over and then Richard comes downstairs and he's like I'm so mad at myself. Had I not stopped at the bank, I would have been able to stop this. I missed the guy by 15 minutes. And this is when Val is like yo, she doesn't say anything. She's just looking to and fro like no, that's, that's not true, but she doesn't. She doesn't say anything.

Speaker 1:

Anybody shows, the episode progresses, there is, of course, a police roundup of the actual rapist in just different subsets and I have to say I Watched a lot of cop shows. I know what a suspect is and isn't. I have never seen a variety show when it comes to suspect. Generally, when you have a suspect. It is like okay, the guy was six foot, brown hair, green eyes, caucasian, x, y, z, happy, fat, blah, blah, blah. This group of suspects. There's a black man in there, there's an old, super old white guy. There's like none of the people look alike and I'm just thinking what description are you going off of it? Guess what? None of the suspects seem to be that bother. They're just kind of hanging around. They're not even standing up, they're just sitting around a coffee table.

Speaker 1:

So Karen of the little Laura is called down to the police station and she's freaking out because she knows exactly who she was with that afternoon and she knows that her husband think she was raped, but she really wasn't. Now she has to go down and identify. She's like crap. When she first gets there she's like oh, I don't know, I don't know anything. But there's a woman who's walked out and she goes. I knew that was him by the scar on his face. So when she gets into the room to look at the guys hanging around on the coffee table, all of them look very different from one another. At first she says she doesn't know. But they, you have to pick someone. She goes there. He is a guy with the scar. That's him. So Richard is more than satisfied by this. He's proud of her. He's like baby, I'm so proud of you, you have picked a guy he's gonna be in jail, blah, blah, blah.

Speaker 1:

So they leave a courthouse and that's he leaves. Val happened to come with her because she didn't have a ride. I guess carrot a lot. I can't get over saying Karen, laura didn't have a ride, so Val drove her to the courthouse. Once they go outside, that would be Val, laura and Richard.

Speaker 1:

Once they're outside, the suspect with the scar on his face, he leaves and he gets in a car and there's a D. There's like a lawyer or whoever, the VA, I don't know what. She is Richard's piss. He's like why? Why does he get to leave? And she explained she goes. Well, if he is the rapist, he didn't rape your wife because he was at another police station from like noon to four Over some warrants or some tickets or something. Richard can't accept this. And he's like well, wait a minute, wait a minute, val, you saw me when I got home. If I got home 30 minutes after it happened, what time was that? So Val is like oh, I just wanted to move from Texas, I wanted to stop looking over my shoulder. I wanted Mary Gary, raise my daughter and just mind my business. Now y'all drug me in the school.

Speaker 1:

She can't blow up her friend's spot because she already know she's already put it together a long time ago that what the woman is saying is false. It is a lie, lie, lie. So she says well, karen, it just dropped me off and her daughter came home from school and he's like okay, it's a school that's out about 245, and all that happened within like minutes of each other. Yeah, couldn't have been that guy, couldn't have been him. He was definitely at the other place. So, before the end of the episode is over, eventually Val works up the courage to go over and you don't need to tell me everything. I just need you to know that. I know you, I think you're a great woman and I think eventually you can have just tell the truth. You can't sit here and tell me lies. You're going to tell the truth and at first Laura is denying it. I hope I said Laura and not Karen. I did. I meant Laura. Laura is kind of denying it. And then finally she's like okay, let me tell you what's going on now. And this is how the story goes.

Speaker 1:

Laura grew up in a household. She had other sisters. She was a young, as everything was fine, but she's never been a girl that people look at. So she would always find ways to get attention, not in a bad way, but she figured out how to make people look at her one way or another. Her mother died at 12 and she decided she needed to step in and fill in that role for her father. Only she couldn't. Obviously she couldn't because she's a 12 year old girl and she's a young as she's a daughter. She wasn't a wife and a mother and there's just no way she could have filled that gap. But she started to notice that the older she got, the more she just had this weird connection with men. She had to do things that made that got her attention, even if she didn't want to do it.

Speaker 1:

By the time she met Richard, she had gone through a whole slew of mistakes. She wasn't super happy about any of them and Richard really stood out to her because he was a loner. He was kind of like her. Even though she seemed very extroverted. He was very much a loner. She was too.

Speaker 1:

She was trying to fill a void and didn't really know how to go about doing it. And when they met each other she was important to him and that's what she wants. She was like it was amazing, he needed me. So I dropped out of college to put him through law school and I was so important in his life. But as time has gone on, he doesn't need me as much. He and the kid are each other's whole world. I just kind of happen to be this side piece, so I have averted back to doing things I don't want to do for attention. I really wish I could quit Now. This is important because Val sees this and it's like I'm sure she's thinking in her own mind. I understand having to do things you don't want to do in order to survive, but Val reiterates Laura, I know you, I know this is hard, but you got to do the right thing.

Speaker 1:

Now, by this point, the police station is called the guy with the scar on his face. Turns out he really was raking people. He was caught in the act. He just wasn't raking people on the day that Laura was raped. You know, it's one of those situations I think about the Michael Jackson song Billy Jean, where the lie becomes the truth. Turns out he really was raped. He just didn't have to hit and rape you.

Speaker 1:

So Val's trying to comfort her, and that's kind of the theme of the whole episode too. The women are trying to find words to comfort her. They're trying to make peace with the fact that this could happen to anyone. You can live in the right neighborhood, you can have the right husband, you can be as cautious as you can be and still be attacked. You could be attacked in a place you consider sacred, like your home, somewhere you're supposed to be safe. Something horrible could happen to you. So they're all wrestling with this and they've all been kind of tender and trepidatious when it comes to speaking to Laura about this particular incident.

Speaker 1:

Val has known all along that there's other things going on, so she didn't want to talk to her for that reason, but the other women just didn't know what to say. So in this moment it's like it all comes to a head and Val's like hey, I'm sorry that that happened to you, but just understanding, you're not your past, you're not any of that, and you get to make the difference now. You get to decide what you want to do, and I know you. You're a good woman, laura, you're a great woman, so I know you're going to do the right thing. And sure enough, when Val leaves, laura picks up the phone. She calls the DA or the detective lady and she asks about the rapey guy. And she's like, yeah, he got caught. So she confesses to the rape, to the let's call her detective that he didn't rape her and they don't need to look for her suspect anymore. Now this is kind of a win-win, because Richard thinks that the rapey guy is the guy who was actually the rapist. He thinks he did it to his wife Not true, she didn't have to confess anything. And Richard comes home and he's like you know what? Call the whole, call all the gang. We're going to go out to eat tonight. It's going to be popping.

Speaker 1:

The restaurant scene is the most telling in a show called the lie. You would have thought that you know all the things that happened previous would have been the scene stealers, but they really weren't. So picture this. It's the four couples at a restaurant, so, bougie, that there are not prices on the menu. Richard wants to solidify that. He is that dude and he's really. I think he's genuinely happy that his wife's quote, unquote assailant has been caught and he also takes it as an opportunity to show them that he's like, he's the guy so where he lets his neighbors pick whatever they want on the menu.

Speaker 1:

Laura is like she wants to order this onion soup and I think she wants to order like lobsters or crawdads or something I can't really remember what it is Some sort of seafood. But every time she says something he goes. I don't think you should put those two things together. I don't think soup goes with that, because one's light, one's heavy. I don't think you should have four oysters. You know she doesn't matter what she says, he just kind of shoots it down. So eventually he just takes over and he's like you know what she'll have the onion soup and the lamb, which is kind of upsetting because during her coping period Laura had made these shoes just trying to keep herself busy. So she'd made lamb, she cleaned the house, she done all these fun things. They just have lamb, like two nights ago, and she says this much she's like Richard, we just had lamb. He's like well, we haven't had lamb. Blah, blah, blah. I've never had anything that fancy, so I can't even tell you what it's called.

Speaker 1:

My girl, karen, across the table, gets pissed, but she's trying to be polite because you know that, like I said, remember last episode she and Val had gone out to lunch. Just they could talk ish about Richard. So she orders a food that Laura wanted, probably fully with the intention of sharing with her, but it's embarrassing because Laura is chastised in front of her peers and this dinner is supposed to celebrate her, but he won't even allow her to make these basic decisions in her life. Oh, I forgot the most important part. While Laura was confessing everything to Val, there was a moment where Val was trying to comfort her and she's like I know this sucks, but like you can handle it, like you don't have to live a lie. And Karen is, laura is crying and it was so good, it was so good.

Speaker 1:

She just she's like I just feel so trapped, dang, it hit me in my gut Like kicked my diaphragm up through my lungs. That's a very real feeling. That's a very real feeling to be fully invested in a life that you're not really, you didn't really want. You know things can start out one way and then flip to another and by this point in her life she hates the fact that she goes out to find attention when she should have it at home. She thought she found her peace with her husband, but once he was comforted, once he was no longer insecure, once he had someone ie her His true colors came out and she has to live that every single day. That, no matter what. She can tell this man I want onion soup and shrimp, and He'll tell her it's the wrong thing to want and he will ignore her needs and do what he wants. She can tell him I'm uncomfortable. This guy's from my past Do you remember my past? Like whatever happened at quote-unquote summer camp, and he will ignore that because this is an opportunity For him to possibly get an interview with JR, to get a better job Time and time again.

Speaker 1:

We're only four episodes deep. You see where she's kind of been ignored. You can see where the other women understand it, but ultimately she is trapped. She's trapped. So this is her minor escape. Unfortunately, it ended with her having to put herself in a compromising situation, but that's not the end of it. So after she's embarrassed in front of her, her best friends and her neighbors at dinner, she, she excuses herself from the table and her husband barely notices.

Speaker 1:

And mind you, this is a restaurant. It's kind of an open concept. It's like a Spanish style restaurant where you have Some sort of what's it called in the middle, some sort of atrium or open air I don't know what it is, but where it's. Basically the building is a square, but the middle is gone and it's just like it's outside. It's one of those sorts of buildings and she walks outside to catch her breath and some sign.

Speaker 1:

I mean, he looks like Bert, like a young, young, young Bert Reynolds, but an old one. It's hard for me to to flip that in my mind. So Bert Reynolds and late 70s would have been fairly young and probably between 30 and 45. This guy has a little bit of salt and pepper hair. He's hot, he looks like he's. He's Bert Reynolds uncle. If the Bee Gees have a nephew named CG's, then Bert Reynolds has a nephew named Kurt Reynolds. Kurt Reynolds comes, or an uncle. Kurt Reynolds comes sauntering over, he's fine and he lights a cigarette for our girl and she looks over her shoulder, val Caesar and vows got those big, wide, scary eyes.

Speaker 1:

And then this it ends, stellar, stellar episode, giving us a peek inside the lives of the Avery's. And it's very curious because I still don't really know what's going on there. Does Richard really care for her or is she? Is she a utility to To get him where he wants to go? Time will tell. Join me next time as I jump into season one, episode five. Don't know the name of that, but I'm sure it's gonna be awesome. We're only four episodes deep to, I think, of 13 or 12 this season, and it is. It is just firing on all cylinders. Love, love, love me. Some not planning In the meantime. In between time, I want you to be good yourself, because you deserve it. Say hydrated, stay moisturized, make sure you mind your own business, make sure all your truth or truth your lies Don't tell him and keep all of your drama on TV. You.
